On Thursday Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael were joined by Kansas City Chiefs Radio Network Analyst Danan Hughes who in addition to previewing Super Bowl LV was asked about why and how Chiefs Offensive Coordinator Eric Bieniemy didn’t get a head coaching job this offseason.

“I can’t explain it…to me the worst story, the biggest travesty in the NFL this year, is the fact that Eric Bieniemy will still remain as an offensive coordinator, as an assistant coach in the NFL,” Hughes said when asked about Bieniemy’s job status.

Hughes continued, “There has never been a time in NFL history where a Super Bowl winning team, three-time AFC Championship attendee, going for a second straight Super Bowl with the number one offense in the league for all three of those years, has ever actively pushed for their coordinator to leave. Like you never have ever heard that before.”

Hughes went on to talk about how numerous players and members of the Chiefs organization have backed Bieniemy continuously.
