The Falcons added Tua Tagovailoa in free agency at QB to compete for the starting job with an injured Michael Penix, but Randy McMichael of The Midday Show told Andy Bunker that the situation feels off, awkward.
"You're gonna compete, no doubt about it, but I don't know if it's a quarterback competition. I think Tua's gonna be the starter," explains Randy McMichael. "He didn't come here to be in a competition, he came here to be the starting quarterback. If Michael was healthy, Tua wouldn't be here. You don't sign a QB like Tua if you're sure he (Penix) is going to be back (Week 1)."
