Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons have ramped up their search for their next General Manager. Yesterday it was reported that the Falcons requested interviews with Chiefs Assistant GM Mike Bradway, Houston Texans Assistant GM James Liipfert, Pittsburgh Steelers Assistant GM Andy Weidl, San Francisco 49ers director of scouting and football operations Josh Williams, and Chicago Bears Assistant GM Ian Cunningham for their open General Manager position.

Earlier today The Morning Shift talked about all the different GM candidates the Falcons have requested to interview, what they all have in common, and the one trait they believe Matt is making sure the Falcons next General Manager has.

“Matt is looking for someone that is a very good talent evaluator, that is what they’re looking for. They’re looking for guys that can identify talent.” Beau Morgan said

All the guys Matt and the Falcons have interviewed or will interview have heavy backgrounds in scouting and seem to be “very good talent evaluators”, so it’s clear that’s the trait Falcons President of Football Matt Ryan sees as the most important trait in a good GM, and that’s the one trait he’s making sure the next General Manager of the Atlanta Falcons has.
