As the Atlanta Falcons prepare for their Week 4 matchup with the Washington Commanders, unfortunately, they are still under scrutiny for their performance in Sunday's 30-0 loss to the Carolina Panthers and rightfully so according to head coach, Raheem Morris.
"I felt the team go a little flat after we missed the second field goal," Morris said as he joined 92-9 The Game's Carl Dukes and Mike Bell on Wednesday and shared what he believed was the moment in which the Falcons level of energy appeared to take a dip and change the momentum of the game in favor of the Panthers.
"We never got got back and like I said after the game, put that on me," Morris continued, adding that he was responsible for finding a way to "get those back" and bring their energy back up in efforts to keep the game having the eventual outcome it did have.
Now as Atlanta turns their attention to the Commanders, Morris noted the importance of the Falcons not allowing Sunday's blowout loss to impact their performance this week and while they look for fans to remain supportive of the team, he believes they also have to accept the criticism they are currently facing.
"You have to take the criticism that comes along with it and that's what what we're doing right now. You guys are here, you're questioning everything that happened up to that point," Morris said of the team accepting accountability for Sunday's loss.
