The Atlanta Falcons will need to up their game when it comes to stopping the run when they face Tampa Bay on Sunday. The team has been gashed in the running game all season long and Tampa will look to make the run their focal point after losing Chris Godwin and Mike Evans to injury Monday Night vs Baltimore. Head Coach Raheem Morris acknowledged as much on Wednesday.
The Falcons currently rank 17th in total team defense giving up 336.1 yards per game and allowed 16 touchdown through 7 games. A lot of that damage has come on the ground with backs like Kenneth Walker and Chuba Hubbard causing havoc.
The issue for the Falcons is compounded by their inability to get to the quarterback. The team only has six total sacks through seven games this season.
