The Atlanta Falcons have one of the easiest schedules remaining in the NFL. So far, the team has not shown the ability to take any opponent for granted regardless of their skill level. No game for this team is a ‘gimme’. With a game in Nashville on Sunday vs the Titans, the team will once again be tested despite mounting injuries for Tennessee. Just how easy is the Falcons’ remaining schedule? Let’s take a look.
According to Fox 5 Atlanta’s Justin Felder, the Falcons currently do not have a team currently above .500 remaining on their schedule. Remaining opponents have a combined record of 22-43 including an 0-6 Carolina Panthers team in the NFC South. A golden opportunity sits in front of the Falcons to take advantage of this schedule and set themselves up to compete for a division title and a playoff berth. The question remains, however, is will Desmond Ridder be able to cut down on the turnovers and unlock the true potential of the offense.
The 3-4 Minnesota Vikings are arguably the toughest task remaining. After an unexpected 22-17 victory over the 49ers on Monday Night Football the team appears back on track after a sluggish start. Star WR Justin Jefferson did not play in the contest and Quarterback Kirk Cousins was still able to shine. The advantage at the most important position will surely be in their favor in that matchup on November 1st despite being a home game. If the Falcons can take care of business in that contest, they are setting themselves up for a potentially special season.
