The Falcons beat the Giants 17-14 and before the offense led a pair of scoring drives in the fourth quarter, it was the Falcons defense that kept the team in the game.
Despite giving up 48 points in the Week 2 loss to the Buccaneers, not all of that was given up on defense. Matt Ryan did have TWO pick-6s, and the defense actually led the way for the team to pull within three points into the fourth quarter.
Atlanta Falcons analyst Harry Douglas keys on three defensive plays that he feel won the team the game against the Giants and how he sees a defense that is pulling its weight so far this season.

"There was 3 plays that stood out to me. The first one, the Giants tried to throw a pass to Engram in the flat and Dante Fowler batted it down, that was going to be a touchdown," says Harry Douglas. "On the very next play Grady Jarrett got a sack that held the Giants to a field goal. Later in the game Fowler got a sack, a very important sack. The plays this defense is making are very timely and they were timely last week against the Bucs as well."
