The idea when Mercedes-Benz stadium was constructed was to create a world-class facility that would be the host of many major sporting events outside of Atlanta Falcons home games.
It seems as if the rest of the country is taking notice of this.
Using "general atmosphere, design, location, amenities, food, character and — of course — the stadium itself" as criteria for judging, USA Today's For the Win placed the Benz third overall in a ranking of every NFL stadium.
Author Andrew Joseph cited the affordable concessions, and other amenities in breaking down what Mercedes-Benz such a great place to watch a football game. He even mentions that "there are so many great options that fans tend to spend time enjoying the stadium away from their seats". The Packers Lambeau Field and LA's SoFi Stadium ranked ahead of the Benz at one and two.
Steak and Sandra broke down this list on this morning's Steakhouse. Even with the Falcons home stadium getting this kind of national love, this team still needs to find a way to turn home games into actual home-field advantages.
