Will they or won't the Atlanta Falcons draft a quarterback?
We are just nine days away from the 2021 NFL Draft. The Falcons currently hold the No. 4 overall pick and many different directions they could go with it.
Most recently, the Falcons have attended the second Pro Days for both quarterback Justin Fields and Trey Lance.
Who's more likely to be pushing harder for a quarterback: general manager Terry Fontenot or head coach Arthur Smith?
"I think Terry Fontenot," Randy McMichael said. "I just think it's more of a GM-type thing. I think Arthur looks at Matt Ryan and saying 'this guy can still play at a high level' ... (the) GM worries more about the long-term future than (the) head coach."
Andy Bunker agrees with Randy when it comes to Smith thinking he can win with Matt Ryan.
"I also think Arthur Smith looks at Matt Ryan and thinks to himself 'that's a guy I can win with,'" Andy said.
"Now, a couple years down the road, that's where the Terry Fontenot of it comes in. Because if it doesn't work out, then, he finds himself in the position that every general manager fears being in which is you have good pieces other places ... and you just don't have that quarterback."
