Will the Falcons draft UGA's Nolan Smith with the eighth pick?

It's mock draft season! Every sports website, every sports writer, and everyone that watches sports has formulated or is formulating their own draft strategy revolving around the 2023 NFL Draft. ESPN's Todd McShay recently released his first post-combine mock draft, and much to the delight of Andy Bunker, the player that he has the Falcons taking with pick eight in none other than UGA's Nolan Smith.

This actually makes a lot of sense. The Falcons need an edge rusher, and with the 4.39 40 yard dash speed that Smith displayed at the NFL Combine, he showed that he can be the versatile edge rusher or sideline to sideline linebacker that the Falcons need. Randy McMichael is not as sold on Smith as a number eight pick, but says that if it happened, he would not hate the move.
