On Friday the Atlanta Falcons announced that they hired Mike Rutenberg to be their defensive passing game coordinator and Nate Ollie to be their defensive line coach, and earlier today on The Morning Shift Beau Morgan talked about the question he wants to ask Ollie the most, and explained why it’s the question he wants to ask the new defensive line coach the most.

“[Brandon] Dorlus, Ruke [Orhorhoro], and Bralen [Trice], how are you going to develop those three guys? Because those might be the three most important players of the Raheem Morris regime.” Beau said.

Beau also said that he needs to see “a lot” from the Falcons’ 2024 second, third, and fourth round picks this upcoming season.

Later on in the show Mike Johnson asked former Atlanta Falcons Quarterback and now analyst for the Atlanta Falcons Radio Network Dave Archer if he agrees with Beau about Dorlus, Orhorhoro, and Trice being three of the most important players of Raheem Morris’ tenure , and Arch said “they have to be”.

Dave talked about how these Falcons’ draft picks have to step up with guys like Grady Jarrett and David Onyemata getting older, and potentially not even being on the roster next season.

Add to that fact that Lorenzo Carter, Eddie Goldman, Ta’Quon Graham, Demone Harris, Matthew Judon, James Smith-Williams, and Kentavius Street are all set to become unrestricted free agents as well, and while some of these guys will probably be back next season, it’s highly unlikely they will all be back.

Brandon Dorlus, Ruke Orhorhoro, and Bralen Trice will have to fill those holes, and take on some major roles this upcoming season, so that’s why it will be very important to Raheem Morris, Jeff Ulbrich, Nate Ollie, and his Morris’ entire regime that those three guys are developed and ready to contribute in a big way next season.
