The Atlanta Hawks ran one of the best game-ending plays in recent memory on Sunday evening and fans are still talking about a second game-winning shot of the season for Hawks rookie A.J. Griffin.
Atlanta Hawks General Manager Landry Fields broke down A.J. Griffin's first 28 games as a rookie and what's made him so special.
"For being a 19-year old, the composure that he plays with, the poise, you'd think you're looking at a 10-year vet," says Fields. "It's something truly special, you don't see it very often, it's rare, hopefully Hawks fans are enjoying it, we needed it this season. He's been a bright spot and won us a couple of ballgames."
A.J. Griffin is seventh among all rookies in points per game, fifth in 3-pointers made, tied for second in steals, and 10th in minutes played.
