After trading Trae Young to the Washington Wizards, the Atlanta Hawks found themselves winners of three straight games, however hit a bump in the road on Tuesday when they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers 141-116, giving up 81 points in the first half.

“We are not tripping, our eyes are not fooling us and we are not overreacting. We’ve been a bad defensive team all season long,” 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes said as he and cohost, Mike Bell, as they explained why they believe they are not overanalyzing the Hawks inability to sustain good defensive play.

‘Giving up 81 points before the half? That’s not shooting the ball better. I am seeing what my eyes are telling me and my eyes are telling me, why should be excited about this?” Dukes said as he expressed his concern of the Hawks’ defensive play not “being good enough when it matters,”.
