The NBA 2022-23 season is officially over, however the off-season and the NBA Draft is here! With that, comes major changes, player mobility, trades, and much more. Teams look to improve, go in a different direction, and make changes. It will be clear to see what the vision and goals are right away with teams by the moves and decisions they make within the next few weeks and months. Atlanta specifically wants to know, what do the Hawks need to do to be better and what trades can they make?

When asked by Sam and Greg on the weekend show, Terrell Thomas from, These Urban Times, stated, “I would like to see some depth added, maybe a four that can really score the basketball… and find Trae a solidified running mate.” Trae Young is the Hawks superstar and go-to guy, but who they surround him with next season seems to be the real question. Adding a second star universally seems to be the answer everyone agrees on, but who is that star and how much will the Hawks lose to acquire that star?
Depth has always been a common thread amongst championship level rosters. For this young core, adding a veteran presence and leader in the locker room could improve this team drastically. An example would be a player such as Kyle Lowry, a championship level mindset who not only can help contribute on the court in a specific role, but the presence and leadership he would provide off the court and in the locker room. Either way, expect some changes to be made with this Hawks team.
