Atlanta Hawks PG Trae Young has been an outstanding player his first few seasons in the NBA, but he seems to have taken things up another notch during this current playoff run.
While Trae Young is just now starting to garner the attention he's long deserved nationally, the Hawks fans know exactly what they have, one of the most promising young stars in the entire league.
Trae has gone from a guy who just made highlight-reel shots to the true leader of a team that's jus beginning to open their window to win.
Atlanta Hawks GM Travis Schlenk breaks down Trae Young's development this season and what he's seen that has led Trae to becoming one of the better point guards in the NBA.
"One of the things that jumps out is cutting down the turnovers. Playing a safer style," says GM Schlenk. "He's always going to be a player that's right on that line the way he plays, fearless, but we've see his turnovers go down and even more in the playoffs. The fact that having the trust in his teammates, he doesn't have to carry the whole load, you've seen that develop and that's help make him a more efficient player."
