A major piece in the NBA carousel was moved on Sunday as Bradley Beal is reportedly heading to Phoenix in a deal with the Washington Wizards. The package for Beal includes Chris Paul, Landry Shamet, a handful of second-round picks, and multiple pick swaps. Now Hawks fans will wait, perhaps impatiently, for the team to get involved in the player movement process with the NBA Draft looming on Thursday.

“I feel that we need to spend more money. The only way you really improve this is to get a Bonafede scorer night in and night out. I know everyone wants to say Robin to Batman, or whatever superhero you want, that’s what you have to have to help out Trae,” Mike Bell explained.

Bradley Beal signed a 5 year / $251,019,650 contract with the Washington Wizards, including $251,019,650 guaranteed, and an annual average salary of $50,203,930. In 2023-24, Beal will earn a base salary of $46,741,590.
