Atlanta United President Darren Eales joined Dukes & Bell to talk some Atlanta United with the guys and discuss the latest on the team's star Josef Martinez, who is listed as day to day with a hamstring injury.
Eales when asked about an update on Josef Martinez.
“He was training today but he wasn’t integrated with the team because he’s still on the day to day as he comes back from a hamstring tweak,” Eales said. “But again he’s day to day so he is training, he just wasn’t training with the team and that’s natural when we’re rehabilitating players. We obviously have sessions where they’re on their own before they’re up to 100 percent we have to re-engage.
“Again, it’s day to day but it isn’t something that’s a serious injury. So it’s just a matter of will the weekend come too soon or not. We’ll have to see how he progresses in the next couple of days, but he’s certainly there about, which is the good news.”
