Braves lineup 'outperforming just about everybody'

Audacy MLB Insider Jon Heyman shares his thoughts with Jon Chuckery on the Braves and other MLB storylines

While the Atlanta Braves continue to work through their pitching woes, at 36-24 overall heading into their Wednesday night matchup with the New York Mets, the Braves boast the fourth best record in the majors and largely in part due to the strength of their offensive lineup. “Top to bottom, when you look at all nine guys, it doesn’t seem like there are any weak spots,” 92-9 The Game’s Jon Chuckery stated in his conversation with Audacy/MLB Insider, Jon Heymon as they dicussed the latest headlines with the Braves and around MLB.

As the two focused in on Atlanta at the top of their discussion, Chuckery acknowledged that the Braves have had their share of slumps at the plate, most recently with Michael Harris II, however the evening host still seeked Heyman’s thoughts as to whether or not the Braves are “the deepest lineup in baseball,” to which Heyman admitted that initially, he did not believe Atlanta would be the leader in that area to start the season. “You know I thought going in that perhaps the Phillies did, that is not proving to be the case,” Heyman would tell Chuckery.

“Right now, the Braves are outperforming the Phillies and just about everybody in terms of the offense,” Heyman added. Click the link above to hear their conversation in its entirety:
