One of the biggest concerns for the Twins heading into the season was if Byron Buxton could stay healthy. That question has been answered only seven games into the season.
Buxton left the game in the first inning Friday with the Boston Red Sox after sliding into second base. Buxton hit a pop-up to shallow left field wasn't caught. The Twins center fielder slid into second base for a double, but he immediately slammed his hand into the ground in apparent frustration. He got up and immediately left the field, walking under his own power with no noticeable limp.
The Twins only update was that Buxton left the game with "knee soreness." He was replaced by Nick Gordon.
