The Atlanta Braves starting rotation is a mess right now and the guys on Dukes & Bell talked about how the bullpen might be the only option for the team to carry the team until they get things figured out with the rotation.
Carl thinks the Braves made a statement with winning the weekend series against the Marlins.
“We went into the Marlins over the weekend with no Albies and no Acuña and you still found a way to win the series," Dukes said. "That to me is a statement that we are a better team, even though our starting pitching woes are troubling.
"They’re gonna start Josh Tomlin tomorrow, who is normally in the bullpen. They’re going to start him as a starter against Washington, but you’re getting some of the guys you’ve been missing in your bullpen back now and so because of that, gives you a little bit more flexibility that maybe you didn’t have a few weeks ago.”
Mike talked about how much the team has leaned on the bullpen.
“We knew they were going to be the strong-suit to start we just didn’t know we were going to be leaning on them like this,” Bell said.
