In the 2022 NFL Draft there were thirty players drafted that played there high school football in the state of Georgia, including the number one pick overall, Travon Walker.
NFL and college rosters are loaded with players with roots to the Peach State. (Justin Fields, Trevor Lawrence, Nick Chubb etc.)

So where does Georgia HS Football rank in the entire country?
When HS Football America co-founder Jeff Fisher told Sam & Greg that Georgia HS Football still ranked behind California and Texas, the guys were disappointed but not overly surprised.
“Georgia High School Football is some of the best in the nation” said Jeff when rehashing the list of the best teams over the past decade.
“I wouldn’t be surprised in the coming years to see Georgia moving to into the number two slot or even higher” said Jeff about the quality of HS Football that is being played in the state of Georgia.
HS Football America recently ranked the over 15,000 high schools throughout the country that play football over the past decade.
The first Georgia HS to appear on the list was at #30 (Grayson Rams).
Several other Georgia schools ranked in the top-75 from across the nation including traditional powers Colquitt County, Milton, Buford and Collins Hill.
