As the Falcons move into sole position of first place in the NCF South thanks to their 31-26 win over the Buccaneers over the Buccaneers on Sunday and now sit at 5-3 on the season and most importantly, 5-0 in the NFC South, a game ahead of the second place Bucs.

On Monday, as Steak Shapiro and Drew Butler reacted to the Falcons’ win, they each shared their thoughts on why the addition of Kirk Cousins is proving to be one of the biggest factors to the success of the Falcons this season.

“Kirk Cousins against the Buccaneers this year, 65 of 87, 785 passing yards, eight touchdowns and one interception,” Butler noted of Cousins stats against Tampa Bay as he highlighted the fact no other NFL quarterback has had eight touchdown passes against a single opponent in a month besides the Falcons signal caller in NFL history.

“Kirk Cousins gives you every bit of a chance to win any game,” Shapiro added as he agreed with Butler the Falcons are a better team with Cousins leading the offense.
