The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are coming off of a 2024 season in which their defense finished with just 18 sacks and as they get set to kick off their season on Friday against the Colorado Buffalos, head coach, Brent Key, believes the depth at "defensive tackle and defensive end," gives good reason the Yellow Jackets will turn the corner in getting to opposing quarterbacks.

"We've got a lot of guys who we can roll in and out," Key said as he joined 92-9 The Game's Carl Dukes and Mike Bell on Thursday ahead of their season opener and explained why he his confident in the Georgia Tech defense being able to put pressure on quarterbacks as a result of players with experience within the program.

"I think we've upgraded ourselves on the edge and we've developed some guys there in the program and look, that's the name of it. We have to create disruption and effect the quarterback," Key said of what the Yellow Jackets must do this season to see improvements defensively in the sack department.
