Georgia Tech's 24-21 win over No. 12 Clemson on Saturday checked off a lot of boxes. Most immediately, it dropping Clemson from the rankings entirely and garnering the Yellow Jackets the No. 18 spot in the new rankings, but it also served notice that Georgia Tech is a team that looks to be headed to the postseason.
While Georgia Tech can't get caught looking ahead, and is a team that needs to stay healthy, especially at the QB position, it seems likely that the Yellow Jackets will be favored in every ACC game on their schedule. If they don't falter in a game they are supposed to win, the Jackets will likely find themselves as a playoff lock.
While Georgia Tech does end its regular season with a tough game against Georgia, the team could sit at 11-0 heading into that matchup considering their remaining ACC opponents are Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Duke, Syracuse, NC State, and Boston College, none of which are currently ranked.
