After seeming like a lock that he would return to the Giants, multiple reports indicate that defensive coordinator Patrick Graham is heading to Las Vegas.

Graham, who was given a vote of confidence by new Giants head coach Brian Daboll, who all but guaranteed his return during Monday’s introductory press conference, has agreed to become the Raiders new defensive coordinator, where there is another new head coach in Josh McDaniels.

Graham, a close friend of former New York head coach Joe Judge, also interviewed for Big Blue’s head coaching position before it was given to Daboll, and interviewed twice for the Vikings head coaching vacancy.

But after Daboll’s press conference earlier this week, it seemed like Graham would be back for a third season as Giants defensive coordinator. He was given a contract extension after an impressive first season, but now, he is headed to the desert.

“Certainly, we hope that he has an opportunity to become a head coach,” Daboll said on Monday. “I think that's everybody's dream, but selfishly, I would love him to be here. He offers a lot to our program. I think he'd be a great support system for me and I'm hoping that that works out.”
