On Monday, the Atlanta Hawks begin a five game road trip out west when they take on the Portland Trailblazers. Atlanta will then face four more of the Western Conference’s playoff contending teams including the first place Denver Nuggets. “I really do think right now that this five game road trip is going to be a defining stretch for the Hawks season,” 92-9 The Game’s, Jon Chuckery said on Monday night ahead of the Hawks and Blazers tilt.
As Chuckery continued to share his thoughts on the importance of the Hawks returning from the west coast swing with an above .500 record through the five games, otherwise they could be in danger of “derailing” their season. Chuckery notes that with the season being nearly two thirds of the way complete, going 0-5 or 1-4 on the trip out west could spell trouble for the Hawks season. Chuckery then goes to the phone lines to allow listeners to share their thoughts.
