7A – Just a few changes took place in the 7A rankings. Collins Hill remains No. 1 after their 37-22 win over Greenville Christian out of Mississippi improving them to 2-0 on the season.
Meanwhile, Mill Creek leaps an idle Walton, down to No. 3, to take the No. 2 spot after their 35-7 win over Dacula, improving to 3-0 to start the season. Lowndes remains in at No. 4 as they improve to 2-1 after defeating Lake Gibson (Florida) 58-47 and last week’s No. 5 Cherokee falls out of the top six after falling to Rome 27-7. Colquitt moves from No. 6 to No. 5 after their bounce back win over Cedar Grove and newcomer Roswell comes in at No. 6 as they improved to 2-0 after defeating Centennial 40-14.

6A – Buford was idle this week but remain the 6A No. 1 team, meanwhile the other five teams from last week’s rankings were all in action with Lee County, Carrollton, Rome and River Ridge all winning their match ups with Westlake being the lone team to suffer a defeat. Lee County remains at No. 2 but Carrollton No. 3, Rome No. 4 and River Ridge No. 5 all move up a spot from last week’s position and Westlake falls to No. 6

5A – The top five positions remained the same in 5A as all five teams, with the exception of Warner Robins, who had the week off, were victorious in their match ups. However, Blessed Trinity, last week’s No. 6 suffered their second straight loss after falling to St. Pius 24-17, dropping them from the tops six. Woodward Academy moves in the top six as the new No. 6 thanks to their 3-0 start following their 14-9 win over Marist.

4A – No. 1 Jefferson holds onto that position as they improved to 3-0 after defeating 45-7 win over Southside, meanwhile last week’s No. 2 Marist was handed their first loss of the season by Woodward Academy, dropping them to No. 5. Benedictine, last week’s No. 3, slides back a spot to No. 4 after dropping to 0-2 following their lost Beaufort (South Carolina). Due to COVID-19 issues, Cedartown was idle for the second straight week, sliding down to No. 6 and Perry jumps up to No. 2 coming off their 21-0 win over Crisp County. Carver-Columbus, also winners on Friday, improved to 2-1 after their 28-15 win over Spring Valley (South Carolina) and moves up to No. 3.

3A – Oconee County continues to roll as they improved to 3-0 after defeating Clarke Central 21-2, remaining in the No. 1 position in 3A. Despite their road loss to Colquitt County, who was looking to rebound from their previous loss to Westlake that ended their 25 home game win streak, Cedar Grove remains at No. 2. No. 3 Appling County and No. 4 Sandy Creek were both winners and hold on to their positions, while last week’s No.
5, Crisp County fell to 0-2 after losing 21-0 to Perry, dropping them from the top six and idle Thomson, who did not play due to COVID-19 issues, remains at No. 6. New to the top six is Monroe Area at No. 5. The Hurricanes are coming off a 30-0 win over Morgan County, their second consecutive shut out of an opponent.

2A – Five of the top six teams in 2A were in action and were all victorious, with Rabun County the only team to not play last week, so all positions remain the same in the classification.

1A Public – Both No. 1 Macon County and No. 2 Metter were idle this week and remain in their previous week’s position. Last week’s No. 3 Pelham suffered their first loss of the season, falling to 24-20 to Cook dropping them to No. 5, while Irwin County moves up to No. 3 after their bounce back 52-26 win over Monroe, moving them up to No. 3.
Lincoln County, also winners last week moves into the No. 4 position and despite losing 14-10 for their first loss of the season, Bowdon remains the No.
6 team.

1A Private – In a highly anticipated matchup between No. 1 Trinity Christian and No. 2 Fellowship Christian, the Lions came out with the 56-20 win over the Paladins, improving to 3-0 and holding onto the top spot. Meanwhile, the Paladins fell to No. 5 with Calvary Day moving up to No. 2 thanks to their 40-14 win over Fredrica Academy. Another match up between top six teams saw Whitefield Academy knocking off North Cobb Christian, improving the Wolfpack to 3-0 and moving them up to No. 3 and North Cobb remaining the No. 4 team. No. 6 Wesleyan was able to bounce back from their loss last week and pick up a 29-7 win over Douglass, allowing them to round out the top six.
