Class 7A

In final week of the regular season, five of the top six 7A “Pick 6” teams were in action, as Carrollton had the week off. Of the five teams that hit the field, three of them, No. 1 Buford, No. 2 Colquitt County and No. 4 Mill Creek, all closed out the regular season with wins. Lambert fell to Milton in the region championship, 31-21, dropping them from No. 5 to No. 7 and Grayson, who had already secured the region title, lost to Parkview 28-21, dropping from No. 6 to No. 9. North Cobb, coming off a 35-0 win over Osborne jumped from No. 7 to No. 5 and Milton rounds out the top six at No. 6 following their win over Lambert.

For the second week in a row, no changes tool place among the top six teams in the 6A “Pick 6” rankings as all six teams were in action and closed out the regular season with victories, including No. 1 Langston Hughes and No. 2 Roswell’s victories for the region championship.

Only five of the top six 5A “Pick 6” teams were in action last week as No. 3 Cartersville had the week off. Of the five teams that hit the field last week, Coffee would be the only team to not walk away with a victory, thus dropping them from No. 4 to No. 7. Cambridge, coming off a 59-6 win over North Springs moved up to No. 4 while Dutchtown, who closed out the regular season with a 51-0 win over Ola, jumped up from No. 6 to No. 5 and Loganville rounds out the top six at No. 6.

It was almost a week of perfect to close out the regular season for the top six teams in the 4A “Pick 6” rankings as all but Troup were winners last week. Troup’s 38-34 loss to LaGrange cost them the No. 3 position, dropping to No. 8. Perry moves in as the new No. 3 as they ended the regular season with a 34-0 win over West Laurens, Benedictine, who defeated New Hampsted 45-6, moves up to No. 4 and Burke County, coming off a 17-7 win over Southeast Bulloch, moves up to No. 5. LaGrange rounds out the top six at No.
6.

Five of the top six 3A “Pick 6” teams hit the field last week and of the five, two suffered losses as Stephens County fell to Hebron Christian 25-21, dropping them from No. 3 to No. 10 and Carver-Atlanta loss to Cedar Crove, dropping from No. 5 to 7. Sandy Creek, coming off a 56-12 win over Douglass, moves into the No. 3 position, Carver-Columbus, who had the week off moves to No. 4 and Peach County comes in No. 5. Savannah Christian rounds out the top six at No. 6.
