Holy Innocents looks to remain 'consistent' as win streak extends to four in a row

As the Holy Innocents Golden Bears volleyball team inches closer to the halfway point of their season, they earned two wins on Tuesday, defeating the Mount Pisgah Christian Patriots and Whitefield Academy Wolfpack, giving their longest win streak of the season of four straight matches.

"I think the past couple of weeks, we've just been honing in on confidence and playing complete sets," Holy Innocents head coach, Katie Bange, said of the Golden Bears, who had just one of win streak of more than two games thus far this season, praising her players for their focus.

"So being consistent from start to finish, I think we're serving really aggressively and we're also passing really well," Bange said of the Golden Bears, who did not drop a set on Tuesday, improving to 11-5 on the season and are being lead by a strong group of five seniors.

"That's really great for the leadership aspect," Bange, noting the Golden Bears have returned "all but two" players from last year's team. "We're lucky that we get a lot of returners who have gained another whole year of experience during club season," Bange said of the growth of her team.

And as Holy Innocents returns to action later this week, as they look to accomplish team goals, Bange says the Golden Bears will look to "diversify" their offense and continue to work towards playing "complete games and staying away from the highs and the lows,". The Golden Bears will host Westminster and Etowah on Thursday.
