But as Jon Chuckery was about halfway through a special Sunday edition of the Jon Chuckery Show, the news broke that Dan Mullen was going to be released of his duties as the Head Coach of the Florida Gators.

Immediately, Jon just had to ask, “you can’t have a bad year in college football?”

Jon, went on to discuss the current landscape of open positons in major college football.

“It’s tough times to be in the world of college football”, laughed Jon when trying to understand how so many colleges decide to fire coaches after one bad season.

As present time, some of the open jobs in Power-5 conferences include, Southern California, LSU, Virginia Tech, and now Florida.

“Dan Mullen deserves to be a head coach in college football” was one of the last thoughts Chuckery shared when he finished breaking down how he felt about Mullen’s resume both at Florida and Mississippi State.

Good luck to Coach Mullen going forward, and even more luck to the “unlucky" new coaches that get the next opportunity at many of the aforementioned colleges.
