As the Georgia Bulldogs get set to host N.C. State in the NCAA baseball Athens super regionals, one player in particular will more than likely be the point of focus for the Wolfpack. Georgia’s Charlie Condon has been having a remarkable season that includes him setting the NCAA single season record in the BBCOR era as he currently has 36.

Considered the presumable number one overall pick in the upcoming Major League Baseball draft, Condon has been performing at a level in which SEC Network’s Tom Hart told Steak Shapiro and Sandra Golden Thursday on The Steakhouse, that “we haven’t seen numbers like this, like ever,” the SEC Network host said.

“Charlie Condon’s leading the country in average and homeruns, it just doesn’t happen,” Hart added as he reminded Shapiro and Golden that the Georgia third baseman did not play during his freshman year. ”He was too skinny and undeveloped. It’s outrageous,” Hart said and later told the midday host that Condon’s stats even surprising to MLB brass.

“His numbers are so off the charts, that the Cleveland front office told a friend of mine, ‘we’re not sure how to judge these numbers because we’ve never seen them’, that’s how head scratching these numbers are,” Hart said. Click link above to hear the conversation in its entirety:
