Michigan Head Coach Juwan Howard has been suspended for his role in the melee that took place in the handshake line after Michigan was beat by Wisconsin on Sunday. Dukes & Bell talked about the incident and whether or not the handshake line is something that should go away.
Carl talked about if the handshake line needs to be done away with.

“Do we stop the handshake line? We’ve been talking about this since way back when, little league we’ve seen incidents, we’ve seen coaches at different levels get into it. I will say this, tempers run high at the end of any game because you’re competing and so you want me to go from an all-time high or low to immediately feeling good about shaking the guys hand that just kicked my butt,” Dukes said. “I’ve always had an issue with it but I understand why it’s important because this is supposed to teach you the lesson, win with humility, lose with humility.”
Mike said he doesn’t want to see it go away.
“I think it’s the wrong message too. You compete, beat a guy’s brains in but you at least treat a man like a man, eye to eye, hey good game, end of story,” Bell said. “I think that’s something we lack because we lack civility in this country. I’m not about that role model thing but sometimes I think you can use sports as an example to show people, you can beat a guy’s brains in for sixty minutes and still have the respect.”
