Cleveland Browns safety John Johnson III made a cryptic post on his Instagram story Wednesday afternoon, one that seemingly was in reference to Odell Beckham Jr.'s waning time with the franchise:

While it does seem a bit strange for Johnson -- who is in the first year of a three-year/$33.75 million deal -- to already be cynical about the Browns, his thoughts may be indicative of how some in the locker room feel.

Beckham wasn't traded prior to Tuesday's trade deadline, despite his father publicly criticizing quarterback Baker Mayfield and LeBron James issuing what was a not-so-coincidental call to "#FreeOBJ." Beckham has 17 catches for 232 yards in six games this season, posting just one catch for six yards in last week's 15-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The former Offensive Rookie of the Year was excused from practice Wednesday, perhaps an indication that the Browns may be preparing to release the 28-year-old.
