On Tuesday, the Marist War Eagles boys basketball team was back in action and looking to bounce back from their loss on Saturday to Stephenson, which was their first region loss of the season, as they hosted the Baylor Red Raiders out of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Despite the game being fairly close throughout most of the night, the War Eagles would control the first two quarters as they led 11-8 at the end of the first quarter and 21-19 at the end of the first half. Unfortunately for Marist, their small margin of a lead at the half would some that Baylor would take advantage of as the Red Raiders would outscore the War Eagles 17-10 in the third quarter and take a 36-31 lead to start the fourth quarter.

The War Eagles would actually win the fourth quarter, outscoring Baylor 12-11, but since they trailed by five at the start of the period, they would not be able to overcome the deficit and would loss by a final of 47-43. The loss would be their second consecutive loss which is the first time they have had back to back losses since early December. The War Eagles drop to 5-8 on the since with Tuesday's loss.
