Robinson Cano made his Braves debut on Monday night, just in time to take on the team that had previously parted ways with him earlier in the season.
But Cano appeared to still be using a keepsake from his Mets days.
While in the field, Cano was using a glove with Mets colors and the number 24 on it, which belongs to Braves catcher William Contreras, leading Cano to wear No. 22 with Atlanta, the number he wore when he first was called up by the Yankees to begin his big-league career.
Of course, there hasn’t been much time for Cano to get a new personalized glove, and he likely wasn’t sure what number he would stick with, but the glove certainly stood out.
Cano batted ninth for the Braves and went 2-for-3 at the plate, but New York won 4-1.
