Lou Williams, it appears, took a detour while away from the NBA’s Orlando campus. The Clippers veteran left the bubble this week to attend a funeral service for Paul G. Williams (believed to be the father of a close family friend) in Atlanta.

However, the 33-year-old was spotted with rapper Jack Harlow at Magic City Gentleman’s Club Thursday night, raising questions about his quarantine status upon re-entering the league’s bubble.

On Sunday, the league determined that Williams must quarantine for 10 days -- which is longer than the required four-day minimum for players granted permission to leave Disney.

Harlow tried to cover for the NBA’s reigning Sixth Man of the Year, claiming the photo (which he later deleted) was from a previous visit to Magic City. However, Williams eventually came clean, admitting he made a brief appearance Thursday night, but said no dancers were present and claimed he was only there to eat dinner. Williams addressed the controversy on Twitter, insisting that Magic City is his favorite restaurant in the city.

Farfetched as it may seem, Williams’ assertion is at least plausible. As you can see, Magic City boasts a surprisingly diverse spread with offerings ranging from bar fare (burgers and wings) to more upscale menu items like salmon and lobster tails.

Even if Williams was truly only there for the cuisine, attending a strip club for any reason while his Clippers teammates are confined to a bubble isn’t great optics.

Either way, Williams is now going to miss the first few Clippers games, which begin on Thursday against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.
