The NBA was honoring its 75 greatest players ever as part of the league’s 75th Anniversary Team during Sunday’s All-Star Game.
Among those players was Shaquille O’Neal, who was also doing the NBA on TNT pre- and post-game studio show for the game.

Prior to tip-off, Shaq delivered a powerful, four-minute speech thanking all the people who helped mold him into the player he became — from childhood mentors to fellow NBA players who came before him — concluding with his father, sister and Kobe Bryant, all of whom have passed.
It was a side of Shaq that is not typically seen on the show, raw and emotional, and it was well received by everyone watching.
