The NBA and it's COVID 'protocols' are a disaster. This wouldn't of happened under David Stern. The NBA has become indecisive when it comes to officials constantly getting calls wrong and now its COVID policies.
Where did this all start of Friday? Kevin Durant was around a person the day before who tested inconclusive for COVID-19. The NBA pulled Durant from shoot arounds on Friday and said he couldn't start until the person was re-tested. Durant was allowed to eventually enter the game, and then he was pulled again after the person test positive.
Durant tweeted his disapproval from the locker room after he was pulled from the game.
If Durant was around a person that possibly could be infected with COVID, why not cancel the game? Durant was already around teammates. Now two teams and staff could possibly be infected. This makes no sense.
Now players like Lebron James are using this incident to call for the NBA to cancel the recently announced All-Star Game in Atlanta in March. Chuckery says this is a mess for the NBA.
