While Trae Young was the center of Atlanta Hawks related conversations on Tuesday as reactions of content tied to anything related to Atlanta was removed from his Instagram, 92-9 The Game’s Jon Chuckery spoke with Pat Benson of FanNation about some of the latest headlines surrounding the Hawks including what the goals should be for Atlanta next season.
“I think it’s less about Quin Snyder at this point and more about Trae Young at this point,” Benson said in response to a previous Chuckery question in reference to what the Hawks need to achieve in the upcoming season.
Benson would further explain that while Snyder is technically entering his first full season as Atlanta’s coach and is still “building something”, however with Young entering year six as the “face of the franchise”, Benson shared with Chuckery that the upcoming season needs to be somewhat of a bounce back season for the Atlanta All-Star.
“I think this season is more about Trae Young and less about Quin Snyder and I think it’s time to get out of the first round,” Benson tells Chuckery. The Hawks reporter added that the “young core” of the Hawks have been together for some time and now “it’s time to see what the final product looks like before they throw in the towel on this young core all together,” Benson said.
