The Seahawks' 12th man might have some new competition. Another Seattle team's seventh man is on the horizon.

NHL Seattle sent out a simultaneously cryptic and promising tweet Wednesday night sparking excitement about the arrival of the 32nd team in the league.

Though the fishers in the video didn't reel in a Kraken, that's one of the names that had circulated around the NHL fan base as a possibility for the Seattle mascot. There were also names like the Sockeyes and the Emeralds that had generated some buzz.

Ultimately, the team decided to go with Kraken, revealing the name and logo on Thursday morning.

It won't be the Seattle Amazons -- we don't think -- but the massive online company will play a large part in the franchise after Jeff Bezos purchased the naming rights to the new team's arena. You can read more about the zero-waste, recycled rainwater-filled Climate Pledge Arena here.

Previous reports indicated that, for a number of reasons, the name reveal would likely be delayed until the Fall. However, reports from Wednesday indicate that the team name will be a part of the reveal.

Does the above video hold the clue to what the team will be named? Is it the fishermen? Is it the boats (I really hope not)? I even checked the wording on the overalls to reveal "Grundens," but that's just a clothing company.

We won't have to wait long to find out.
