The Atlanta Braves continue to be one the best teams in Major League Baseball this season yet, the National League East leaders continue to have their fair share of pitching woes and at times find themselves struggling to get the performances they need out of the bullpen to close out games. And while Atlanta still awaits the returns of Max Fried and Kyle Wright, 92-9 The Game’s Jon Chuckery wanted to get thoughts of Kris Willis’ of SB Nation thoughts on whether or not the Braves need to look to add another starting pitcher to their roster.
“I think the bullpen right now at this point is probably the biggest priority as they close in on the trade deadline. I wouldn’t be shocked to see them add one arm down there, maybe two even,’ Willis said in response to Chuckery’s question. Willis added that while the Braves pitching production has overall been solid throughout the season thus far, he believes that should the Braves add “one more person to the mix would solidify things pretty good,” for Atlanta.
