Source: Steelers 'love' Alabama QB Jalen Milroe

Could the Steelers believe their future franchise quarterback is in the upcoming draft?

PM Team co-host Andrew Fillipponi says a source tells him there are team scouts that “love” Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe.

The Steelers “believe he’s a first-round talent,” said Poni, adding Tomlin will see Milroe at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama next week.

Milroe is an interesting case. Some draft experts believe he could be picked in the top 10 and/or could be selected before names like Shedeur Sanders.

On the other side, there are some that think he could fall to the third-round.

A recent mock from CBS Sports has Milroe going second overall to the Cleveland Browns.

Milroe isn’t a sure thing and that could lower his stock.

Some (including the Steelers, reportedly) believe he could develop into a franchise quarterback and has been compared to Jalen Hurts.

But, other experts don’t see him ever turning into a quality starting NFL quarterback.

Milroe and all the other top names will be analyzed and over analyzed through the Senior Bowl, Combine and all through late-April.
