Terry Bradshaw is not faulting Troy Aikman or Tony Romo for the monster contracts they got to be broadcasters.

He just can’t believe that much money is out there to be an analyst.

Romo set the standard in 2020 when he signed a 10-year deal with CBS that pays him about $17.5 million a year to be on the No. 1 broadcast team with Jim Nantz. But the conversation really reignited this offseason, with Aikman leaving FOX and his longtime partner Joe Buck for ESPN, who gave him a five-year, $90 million contract.

It’s a lot of money to call a football game, and Bradshaw ranted about that reality on 610 Sports Radio in Kansas City on Tuesday.

“I am shocked,” Bradshaw said on “Cody and Gold.” “I’m shocked, number one, that Romo got that money. I mean, that was stupid. And now Troy’s money is stupid. Just to call a football game? Wow, that tells you how much they’re making, doesn’t it? And I love Troy Aikman, and I can’t believe we lost him at FOX and I think he’s the best that’s out there.

“I know the guy that’s at NBC, the skinny neck guy (Cris Collinsworth), he wins all the Emmys, he does a good job, but I don’t like listening to him. I love listening to Troy, Troy’s an easy listen. Romo isn’t. To get all that money, god bless them. … It’s hard to wrap your head around. I know what I asked FOX for in my next contract. I asked for it a year ago, I’m on my last year, I haven’t heard back from them. I’m like, ‘Oh lord, looks like I’m history at FOX.’”

So long as the NFL keeps making a ton of money on these TV deals and the ratings are through the roof, the networks are going to throw heaps of cash at the top analysts. So if Bradshaw has an issue with that, well, he just might need to get over it.
