Lamar Jackson’s social media has been the talk of the town around the Ravens on Monday, and it was extra curious that he wasn’t at the Ravens’ facility for their final locker cleanout day.
Jackson had Tweeted an update on just how serious his knee injury was on Thursday, but then, after a visibly annoyed John Harbaugh answered a question about his QBs Sunday night and RGIII came to Lamar’s defense after Michael Vick clowned on him, Jackson posted a somewhat-cryptic Instagram story on Monday:
Jackson’s teammates gave him a lot of love and praise on Monday, but Tiki & Tierney had a lot of questions.
“That can mean one of two things: him taking care of his body, or his interpretation of how the Ravens are not taking care of him,” Brandon Tierney said. “Which one do you subscribe to?”
“The losing it makes me believe it’s the Ravens, like saying that if you don’t take care of me, you’re going to lose me,” Tiki replied.
BT mentioned how it could be a reference to how RGIII lost his career by not taking care of his knee, and while Tiki thinks the word cryptic is overused, this time, it fits.
“This one is because it’s ambiguous,” Tiki said. “The reason I’m not playing is because I’m taking care of my body…or it could be that I’ve been trying to get a contract for two years now, Baltimore Ravens, so you might lose me.”
