Sometimes teams go through rough spots. The Braves just won their first World Series Championship since 1995. Now, it would be nice to win championships every year for sure, but if you have to wait for something like that for a while, when it finally comes it makes that moment that much sweeter. The Shiloh varsity football team didn’t win a national championship tonight, but they did win their first playoff game since 2000, and that easily makes Head Coach Tino Ierulli this week’s Coach of the Night.

Generals fans and alumni have waited a long time for this moment, but Head Coach Tino Ierulli wasn’t aware of the drought, and that was probably to the advantage of the Shiloh Generals. When Chris asked Coach Ierulli about the win, coach was obviously very deflecting of the credit saying “I’m very very proud of the boys and my coaching staff, our administration, our community, I couldn’t ask for a better supporting staff. However as far as X’s and O’s go Coach Ierulli said “time of possession” was the key to the victory tonight over Allatoona.

When Sam asked Coach Ierulli how he knew Shiloh was the place for him, coach said “247 Sports they put out that Shiloh was Gwinnett’s worst, and that the David Pollock years are over, and that right there made me really really want to be apart of that family, and get a hold of those boys, and really try to do something and make a change for them.” I think it is safe to say that a change has been made for the better, and the Shiloh program is headed in the right direction, congratulations to our first round playoff Coach of the night Tino Ierulli.
