The public's assistance was sought by authorities Tuesday in locating a 20-year-old man last seen in Compton.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Mark Zarate Jr. was last seen in the 1700 block of West 151st Street around 7 a.m. Thursday.
Zarate was described as a 5-feet-6-inch tall Hispanic man weighing 140 pounds with brown hair and eyes.

Sheriff's officials said he was last seen wearing a beige sweater and black sweatpants before being reported missing and is possibly heading toward or is in Texas.
Anyone with information regarding Zarate's whereabouts was urged to contact the sheriff's Missing Persons Detail at 323-890-5500. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or visit lacrimestoppers.org.
