
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KNX) – Sonoma County deputies arrested a man in a deadly shooting in Monte Rio Tuesday afternoon.

Just after 12:30 p.m., Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department announced a shelter-in-place order was issued in “Monte Rio east of Bohemian Highway, which includes River Blvd. & adjacent streets and Bohemian Ave. & adjacent streets" following a shooting in the Alder Road and Willow Road area.
The suspect was identified by deputies as Francisco Gonzalez.
Law enforcement officials said the suspect was armed with a rifle and the victim he shot had died, according to KRON 4.
The sheriff's office said at 4:11 p.m. Gonzalez was arrested on Green Valley Road and the shelter-in-place order was lifted.
