Big Bear's beloved bald eagle Jackie's condition has deteriorated, according to the latest report from the Ojai Raptor Center.
Officials said on Monday that bloodwork showed her anemia is getting worse.
“Our veterinary team is responding quickly,” a statement posted on the center’s social media pages read. “Additional advanced diagnostic testing is now underway, and expedited laboratory testing has been requested as we continue working to better understand her condition and guide the next steps in her treatment.”
The Raptor Center promised further updates as soon as the blood tests are complete.
After Jackie was rescued, she received a life-saving blood transfusion from another female eagle named Spirit.
