Gas prices have surged in Los Angeles County for the first time in 45 days. Some people are worried that prices will continue to climb.
The average price for regular gas in L.A. County has gone up to $5.40 a gallon, which is a two cent increase from yesterday. KNX News’ Pete Demetriou reported this is the largest price hike since May 6th.
Out of precaution, drivers in West L.A. are filling up their tanks.
“I drive a lot, so it's going to cost me every time,” one driver said.
“The car stays in the garage unless necessary,” another driver said.
Many people said if the price continues to go up, they won’t be taking a road trip this summer.
