Detectives in Culver City are searching for a man who robbed $10,000 from a bank.
Officers responded to the 3800 block of Culver Center Dr. at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Culver City Police Department.
“The investigation indicates a suspect approached a teller window, presented a note demanding money and claiming to be armed with a firearm,” Officer Jennifer Atenza, spokesperson for the department, told KNX News’ Jon Baird. “Now no weapon was displayed, but the suspect made repeated gestures towards his waistband, queuing employees to believe that he may have been armed.”
Officers say the man ran away after getting the money and was last seen going north toward Venice Blvd.
